The College Student Mentor program provides a personalised learning experience for all students at the College. Each student at St Leo’s has a Mentor teacher who monitors their progress and holistic growth throughout their time at the College.
The Student Mentoring program is designed to enhance each student’s learning experience at the College. Every student will have a Mentor teacher focused on their holistic growth, focusing on six growth areas:
- Spiritual
- Academic
- Physical
- Cultural
- Social Emotional
- Environmental
Mentor teachers deliver the Pastoral program and monitor students progress and growth. Students have the same Mentor teacher throughout their time at the College, thereby ensuring that the teacher knows the students in their group extremely well. Students regularly meet with their mentor for learning conversations to identify strengths and areas for development and set goals for growth and personal achievement. Mentor teachers assist students to develop systems to achieve their goals and monitor their progress towards these goals.
