Years 11 and 12

 

 We give Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to mature in many facets of personal development. All students must study at least two units of English and at least one unit of Religious Studies. Following extensive discussion with Year 10 students, we help students select a course that reflects their interests and strengths while maximising their options for tertiary study.

 

The elective courses we currently offer students in Years 11 and 12 are:

  • English (Extension 1 and 2, Advanced and Standard English, English Studies)
  • Engineering Studies
  • Food Technology
  • Industrial Technology – Timber
  • Information Processes and Technology
  • Languages – French, German and Japanese
  • Legal Studies
  • Mathematics (Extension 1 and 2, 2 Unit and Mathematics Standard)
  • Modern History
  • Music 1
  • PDHPE
  • Physics
  • Investigating Science
  • Science Extension
  • Society and Culture
  • Studies of Religion (1 unit or 2 unit)
  • Visual Arts
  • VET – Construction
  • VET – Hospitality

 

Students can also choose to study a language not offered at the College, through either Saturday School or the Open High School. Additional subjects may also be available online or through distance education.
